The VR & AR team at York St John University helped support the National Railway Museum based in York to create a zone where young people could experience both virtual and augmented experiences and understand their impact on how we communicate and make things. Participants could pay around with VR tilt brush to draw in virtual reality their own designs, whilst the Microsoft HoloLens overlayered 3D digital information onto one of the trains providing unique information.
Overall, we engaged with around 125 young people during our 3 day event, discussing how these types of technology have relevance to their own education studies.
